Read Apostles by Biswaroop Mukherjee. Very concise and relevant for today’s time and age. Biswaroop draws from his vast experience as an HR leader and understands his reader’s psyche well. The chapters in the book are topical in nature, making it an anthology of sorts (in fiction terms), yet they converge at the end to provide a very clear view of how the new-age HR organization perceives itself and its most important stakeholder - employees. While Apostles is a must read for aspiring and experienced HR professionals, I recommend it to every non-HR professional as well, as they would get more than a glimpse into how their success is perceived by the HR organization of today.
